Although this is going bad, Barry is invited by Ryan for a drink. In the bar The former meets the actress Sally, to whom he immediately feels attracted. Later he meets Gene, who tells him very directly that he is a bad actor. Barry bluntly replies that he is a contract killer. Gene is impressed by this supposed improvisation and gives Barry another chance as an actor. When Barry finally wants to kill Ryan, he realizes that he has been killed by Chechen who now want to kill him as well. Barry shoots her and can escape.
Barry and Monroe are kidnapped by the Chechen. They torture Monroe until Barry agrees to kill an annoying informant named Pace. The police find Ryan's body and questioned the members of the drama class. Senior investigator Detective Moss soon starts a relationship with Gene. At Ryan's funeral, Barry gets a panic attack because he's being confronted for the first time with the relatives of a victim. Nevertheless, he wants to carry out his current job. When he is about to liquidate Pace by sniper rifle , he gets a call from Sally, who asks him to come to her home because she is sad. Since he has missed his goal, Barry breaks in with Pace and strangles him. He then goes to Sally. She is frustrated because a colleague with whom she once played together in a short-lived series is much more successful than she. Barry comforts her, has sex with her, and imagines what their future might be like.
Sally creates a profile on Facebook for Barry , which brings him back in touch with Chris, an old marine friend. Barry invites him to a party hosted by Natalie, an actress. There Chris brings two friends, Taylor and Vaughn. Taylor happens to get Barry to clear out a drug stash of the Bolivian mafia. He accompanies Barry and saves his life. He also puts money from the hiding place, which Barry does not know. When he finds it, he takes it to drama school and hides it on the toilet. At school, Vacha, whose brother was killed by Barry, wants to murder Sally in revenge, but is shot dead by Detective Moss who finds the money.
Barry's next assignment is to watch a drug baron at an airfield . Chris, Taylor and Vaughn come along. The men are under attack, only Barry and Chris survive. Barry kills his friend because Chris wanted to confess to the police. He then murders Pazar and forces Monroe to leave the city. Noho takes over the syndicate, ends the feud with the Bolivians and works with them from now on. Police conclude that Ryan and Taylor are responsible for the killings and close the file. Detective Moss finds out the truth and confronts Barry. He shoots at her, it remains unclear whether she dies or not. At the end of the season Barry comes out of the shower and announces, as before, that his criminal life is over now.
