The Twilight Zone 2019 is a television series anthology American genre fiction .
It is the third revival series inspired by the eponymous 1959 television series , conceived by Rod Serling .
Presented by Jordan Peele , the series is distributed on CBS All Access from 1 April 2019.

Development
On December 19, 2012, it was announced that Bryan Singer had finalized an agreement for the development, executive production and direction of a third revival of the 1959 series On the borders of reality . Furthermore, at the time of the announcement, the production had not yet hired a screenwriter. In March 2013, it was announced that a screenwriter was in talks to join the series. In 2016, Simon Kinberg and Craig Sweeny had joined the production while CBS was deciding s. and sell it to other networks or place it on the CBS All Access service. In the end, Kinberg left the project to write and direct the film X-Men - Dark Phoenix , while Singer and Sweeny later retired.
On November 2, 2017, it was announced that CBS was redesigning the revival for their CBS All Access streaming service. Furthermore, it was reported that Jordan Peele was negotiating for the executive production of the series through his production company Monkeypaw Productions and that Marco Ramirez was in talks to serve as a showrunner. On 6 December 2017, it was announced that CBS had given the production a serial order. Peele and Ramirez had been confirmed as executive producers together with Simon Kinberg, Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Carol Serling and Rick Berg. It was also expected that Peele, Ramirez and Kinberg would work together on the pilot episode of the series. The production companies involved are CBS Television Studios , Monkeypaw Productions and Genre Films.

On 6 August 2018, it was confirmed that the first season consisted of 10 episodes. Furthermore, it was reported that the production had created a scriptwriters' room, completed concepts, schemes and scripts for the first season in various stages of development. The series was not expected to have a formal showrun, but director Greg Yaitanes had to be in charge of supervising the continuity between the episodes. On 20 September 2018, it was announced that, in addition to the executive production, Peele would be the narrator and presenter of the series. On October 2, 2018, Gerard McMurray announced an episode with Mathias Herndl as director of photography on a promotional video of the series . On November 15, 2018, it was reported that Alex Rubens would write an episode of the series.
